The Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch is open through Sunday, November 1 at the family farm on University Drive in Irvine. Entry is by reservation only, with timed tickets sold online.

October brings longer hours. The patch is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday, with last entry an hour before closing. The farm notes that hours depend on the weather.

What admission covers

Admission was $23 on weekdays and $27 on weekends when tickets went on sale, NBC Los Angeles reported. That covers unlimited wagon rides, the corn maze, a barnyard exhibit with farm animals and a play area for younger kids. Pumpkins are sold separately by the pound, and a pumpkin cannon runs on weekends.

Plan ahead for the Tanaka Farms Pumpkin Patch

Weekend time slots go first, so booking early matters. Weekend parking is paid, and the farm lists a free parking offer for groups buying four tickets on select days. The farm is at 5380 3/4 University Drive in Irvine.

Tanaka Farms also runs Hana Field, a second pumpkin patch in Costa Mesa.
