The Irvine Park Railroad Pumpkin Patch is open every day through Sunday, November 1, inside Irvine Regional Park, at 1 Irvine Park Road in Orange. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. On Halloween, October 31, the patch runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and the final day, November 1, runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The patch centers on the park’s small-gauge train. Families can ride the train and a wagon, decorate pumpkins and cookies, get faces painted, and play carnival and ring-toss games. There is also a bounce house, gold panning and mini diggers for kids who like to move dirt around.

A haunted house, a hay maze and the photo spots are free to walk through.
