The De Portola Wine Trail is throwing its Harvest Celebration on Sunday, November 8, 2026. Between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., one ticket gets you into all 11 wineries along the Trail, each pouring wine and serving a small harvest bite.

The Trail runs along a five-mile hillside road at the southeastern end of the Temecula Valley, lined with vineyards, oak trees, and horse ranches, in the Trail’s own words. The format is simple: pick a starting winery when you buy, check in there, then make your way down the road at your own pace.

Tickets

Tickets are sold through the De Portola Wine Trail store. The Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association’s event listing gives an early bird price of $79.99 through September 15 and $89.99 after that. When we checked the Trail’s store on September 28, the ticket was still listed at $79.99. Check the store for the current price.

  • Choose your starting winery at checkout. Each winery has a cap on check-ins, and a winery drops off the list once it is full. Book early if you have a favorite starting point.
  • Print your confirmation. The Trail asks you to print your email confirmation and bring it to your check-in winery.
  • No refunds. The event runs rain or shine, and all sales are final.
  • Transportation package. The Trail’s events page also offers Harvest Celebration tickets bundled with Grapeline transportation.

What last year looked like

The 2026 ticket page does not spell out every detail, so here is how the 2025 Harvest Celebration was listed on KPBS, for context. It ran Sunday, November 2, 2025, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and was 21 and over. Tickets included wine and food pairings at each winery plus a commemorative glass. There was a designated driver ticket, listed at $44.05, alongside general admission at $86.61. No designated driver ticket appears on the 2026 store page yet, so ask the Trail before you plan around one.

Getting there

The Trail lists its address as 39870 De Portola Road, Temecula, CA 92592. Your actual first stop is the winery you pick at checkout, so map that one. Eleven wineries in seven hours is a lot of driving between pours. If you are not booking the Grapeline package, pick a sober driver before the day starts.

Tips

  • You do not have to hit all 11. Choose a handful, and linger where you like the view.
  • Eat the bites. They are part of the ticket, and they help.
  • Drink water between wineries.
  • Bring layers. The event is rain or shine.
  • Plan your bottles. If you want to buy wine to take home, leave room in the car.

Family notes and accessibility

The 2025 edition was 21 and over, and the 2026 listing has not posted an age policy yet. Accessibility varies winery to winery. For questions on either, contact the Trail at sales@deportolawinetrail.com or (855) 398-9463.

Still to come

As of September 28, 2026: the wine and food pairings for eight of the 11 wineries, the 2026 age policy, whether a designated driver ticket will be offered, and Grapeline package details. The 824 Journal will update this guide as the Trail fills them in.
