San Diego Beer Week 2026 Guide: Ten Days of Rare Releases, Pairings, and Taproom Events Across the County

San Diego Beer Week is back November 6 to 15, 2026. For ten days, breweries, bars, and restaurants across San Diego County host their own events under one banner, and the San Diego Brewers Guild pulls it together. There is no single gate and no single ticket. You build your own week.

One big change this year: the Guild’s own festival is not part of the week. The Capital of Craft Beer Festival moved to summer and already happened on September 19. The Guild’s official Beer Week events are listed as “Coming Soon” as of September 28, 2026, so this guide covers what is confirmed and how to plan around the rest.

What’s on the menu

Beer Week works like a citywide open house. The Guild describes it as a 10-day celebration of independent craft breweries, with events held at participating breweries, bars, restaurants, and more. San Diego’s tourism bureau lists the kinds of things to expect: special events, rare releases, pairings, tours, and tastings.

The pool of possible hosts is deep. The Guild says the county is home to more than 150 independent craft breweries. The full event calendar lives on the Guild’s Beer Week listings, which were not yet loading when we checked, so watch the Guild’s Beer Week page and your favorite breweries’ own social accounts for announcements.

How Beer Week has changed

The San Diego Brewers Guild launched Beer Week in 2009. San Diego Magazine called the 2023 edition the 15th annual, which makes 2026 the 18th.

The week’s centerpiece has shifted a lot in the last few years. In 2023, under then-new executive director Erik Fowler, the Guild postponed its longtime Guild Fest to the following February and dropped the closing Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. In their place came “Guild on the Streets,” a series of Guild appearances at venues around the county. In 2024, San Diego Beer News reported that the Guild replaced the old Guild Fest format with a West Coast IPA festival, the Capital of Craft Beerfest, at Kilowatt Brewing in Kearny Mesa. For 2026, that festival moved out of Beer Week entirely, to September 19 on the Broadway Pier.

The takeaway for planning: in 2026, the week belongs to the breweries and bars themselves.

Tickets

There is no Beer Week wristband. Each event is run by its host venue, so pricing, reservations, and entry rules are set event by event. Coronado Brewing Company’s Beer Week primer, published in April 2026, put typical beer dinner prices between $60 and $120 per person. Treat that as a ballpark and check each listing for the real number, what is included, and the age policy.

Build your own Beer Week

Ten days is a lot of beer. Coronado Brewing’s primer names four neighborhoods as top Beer Week destinations, and building each night around one of them keeps the driving down:

  • North Park
  • Miramar, which the primer calls “Beeramar”
  • Downtown and East Village
  • Coronado

Getting there

Because events are spread across the whole county, there is no festival shuttle or official parking plan. Coronado Brewing’s primer recommends arranging your ride before the first pour: rideshare, a brewery tour, or a designated driver. It also suggests booking a place to stay early if you are coming from out of town.

Tips

  • Pace yourself. Spread your plans across the ten days instead of cramming them into one.
  • Drink water between pours and eat a real meal before a tasting night.
  • Read the fine print. Age rules, reservations, and what a ticket covers are set by each host, so check before you go.
  • Follow the breweries you love. With the Guild calendar still pending, their own channels are the best place to catch release news.

Family notes and accessibility

With no central venue, there is no single policy for kids, pets, or accessibility. Each brewery, bar, and restaurant sets its own. If you have access needs, contact the host venue directly before you buy a ticket. General Beer Week questions go to the Guild at info@sdbeer.com.

Still to come

The Guild’s official Beer Week events and the full calendar of participating venues had not been posted as of September 28, 2026. One more thing to know: San Diego’s tourism listing shows the week starting November 7, while the Guild’s own page says November 6. We are going with the Guild. The 824 Journal will update this guide as events are announced.
