Visit Long Beach holds its 12th annual Long Beach Christmas Tree Lighting on Monday, December 7, 5 to 8 p.m., at Terrace Theater Plaza, 300 E. Ocean Blvd. in downtown Long Beach.
Tickets
Admission is free, but tickets are required for entry. Visit Long Beach releases tickets in weekly batches starting November 9 on VisitLongBeach.com, with a limit of four per person.
For families
The 67-foot tree is lit with falling snow, followed by a fireworks finale. The evening also has live music and performances, including dancers from Long Beach Ballet’s The Nutcracker.
Kids can take free holiday train rides and pose for photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Selfie stations include giant ornaments and a walk-in snow globe, and food trucks will be on site.
Toy drive
The Long Beach Fire Department runs its Spark of Love Toy Drive at the event. Bring a new, unwrapped toy for children and families in need. The event page does not list parking details.
