Terrace Theater
The Terrace Theater is the main hall of the Long Beach Performing Arts Center, part of the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center on East Ocean Boulevard. It opened in 1978 and seats about 3,051 across orchestra, loge and balcony levels.
The late-modernist building was designed by Allied Architects and has a three-level glass lobby more than 200 feet long. The auditorium uses continental seating with no center aisle, and it was built to handle both amplified and acoustic shows. The Long Beach Symphony is the primary resident, and its 2026 to 2027 classical series opens here on October 10, 2026. Long Beach Opera and Long Beach Ballet have also staged productions here.
The theater is downtown, a short walk from the Metro A Line’s 1st Street station. Parking is available in the convention center garages.
