Laneige was created in South Korea in 1994 by Amorepacific, the beauty company founded in 1945. The brand arrived in the U.S. in 2014 with an exclusive at Target, then moved into Sephora in 2017 and reached full Sephora distribution by 2019, Glossy reported.

The products

The brand is best known for its Lip Sleeping Mask. Other staples include Lip Glowy Balm, Water Sleeping Mask and Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer.

2026 so far

During Amazon Prime Day in June 2026, Lip Glowy Balm and Lip Sleeping Mask ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in Amazon’s lip balm category, according to Amorepacific. This year Laneige also expanded into airport duty-free stores in the U.S., Canada, Spain, Italy and other countries, and Amorepacific showcased the brand at the TFWA travel retail show in Cannes in early October.

Where to find it

Laneige sells at Sephora, on Amazon, at us.laneige.com and in U.S. airport duty-free shops.
