International LA Punk Film Festival 2026 Guide: 10 Years of DIY Cinema at the Laemmle Royal and Online

The International LA Punk Film Festival turns 10 this October. The 2026 edition runs October 8 to 18, mixing a worldwide streaming exhibition with a weekend of in-person screenings, October 16 and 17, at the Laemmle Royal in West Los Angeles.

The festival’s idea of punk is about attitude, not a music genre: films with individuality, imagination, and the nerve to make something authentic. That opens the door to features, documentaries, shorts, and music videos. Here is what the festival has posted as of September 28, 2026.

Passes and tickets

Passes are sold on the festival’s FilmFreeway ticket page. Prices and descriptions as listed on September 28, 2026:

  • Punk Worldwide Online Pass, $12: watch the films online anywhere and vote.
  • Underground Pass (early bird), $15: general admission to live festival programming.
  • Rebel Pass, $20: general admission.
  • Punk Pioneer Pass, $35: live festival access plus the online edition and audience voting.
  • Icon Pass, $50: live and online access, a private VIP event invitation, and film awards access.
  • Punk Legend Pass, $100: live and online access plus 10th anniversary supporter recognition.
  • Fearless Filmmaker + 2 Guests, free: credentials for cast and crew of selected films.

The in-person rooms are small, so seating is limited and first come, first served. The festival also lists a Lamb’s Den Golden Ticket: a 13-seat roundtable billed as four hours of films, filmmakers, and conversation during the Saturday afternoon lounge. Its price has not been posted.

Watch and vote from home

You can join this one from your couch. The online pass unlocks the streaming exhibition, which starts October 8 and runs through October 18. Audience votes count toward the Audience Award, and the festival tabulates its film awards after international voting closes. Some films are streamed in a short flash release before they play live, then paused, so watch them when they drop.
