The Muckenthaler Cultural Center in Fullerton holds a free Día de los Muertos Festival on Sunday, November 1, noon to 4 p.m. The center is at 1201 W. Malvern Ave.

The Muck lists the afternoon as a family event, with live music and stage performances, arts and crafts for kids, and family art activities.

Ofrendas and artisans

Día de los Muertos, observed on November 1 and 2, is a Mexican tradition that honors family members who have died, and ofrendas are altars decorated with photos, flowers and offerings.

Special ofrendas will honor loved ones who have died. Local artisans will sell arts and crafts, and food will be available.
