Lakewood’s Halloween Carnivals return on Saturday, October 31, with free carnivals at eight city parks. Activities run 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The city describes the tradition as a safe way for kids to celebrate on Halloween night.

Park themes

Each park has its own theme. Biscailuz Park goes with Zootopia 2, Bloomfield with Toy Story, Bolivar with K-Pop Demon Hunters, Boyar with Dr. Seuss, Del Valle with Scooby Doo, Mayfair with Monsters Inc., Palms with Minions and San Martin with Ghostbusters.

Lakewood Halloween Carnivals for families

Bolivar, Del Valle and San Martin parks will have haunted houses sized for little ghosts and goblins. Mayfair Park adds inflatable attractions for an extra fee; the city has not posted that price.

The city is also recruiting volunteers to run carnival booths and help with the haunted houses.
