ANIME Impulse Los Angeles returns to the Fairplex in Pomona Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17, 2027, open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. The two-day show mixes live concerts, meet and greets, cosplay, an exhibitor hall, a gaming zone, and an itasha show of cars decorated with anime characters.
It lands the weekend after Animé Los Angeles in Long Beach, so January is a double-header for anime fans. Guests are listed as coming soon. Here is what the organizers have posted as of September 28, 2026.

Cosplay and props
From ANIME Impulse’s general FAQ, which covers all its shows (a Los Angeles-specific FAQ is listed as coming soon):
- Props get checked. Security inspects props and imitation weapons, and approved items get a neon green zip tie. Keep them in plain sight at all times.
- Not allowed: Metal weapons, firearms, sharp blades, and realistic law enforcement uniforms.
- Costume basics: No nudity, shoes required, and outfits cannot block foot traffic. Bulky costumes need a designated helper.

A little history
Impulse Universe, based in Rosemead, launched ANIME Impulse in 2016 alongside the Asian American Expo, and the Los Angeles show has called the Fairplex home ever since. Producer Kaila Yu has described the idea as a space for people who love anime but don’t identify as hardcore fans. The company has since added K-Play!
