Star Wars Celebration comes to the Los Angeles Convention Center Thursday, April 1 through Sunday, April 4, 2027, marking 50 years since the original Star Wars film. It is the first Celebration in Los Angeles since 2006, and every ticket category, including single days and the Jedi Master VIP tier, is sold out.

If you have tickets, this guide is your checklist: the guests so far, when tickets arrive, what props you can bring, and how security works. If you do not, it explains why the resale market is a bad bet. Everything here comes from the official Celebration FAQ and ticket pages, StarWars.com, and the convention center, as of September 28, 2026.

A ticket covers the show floor, fan panels, interactive features, and the official store for the days it is valid. The show uses a big footprint: West Hall A, South Hall GHJK, Petree Hall, Concourse Hall, Kentia Hall, and meeting rooms in the 300, 400, and 500 series.

Sold out: what that means for you

  • Every category is gone. The ticket page lists Jedi Master VIP, the Adult 4-Day, every adult single day, the Kids 4-Day, and every kids single day as sold out.
  • Resale is not allowed. Celebration says its tickets are “non-refundable, non-resalable and cannot be reproduced or upgraded.” A ticket bought secondhand is a risk.
  • Watch the official channels for any change. The ticket page is the place to check.

If you have tickets

  • Check your shipping address now. Tickets bought before early 2027 are mailed in March 2027, and the address cannot be changed after the mailing deadline.
  • Later purchases are picked up at Will Call on site. International orders pick up tickets and merchandise on site.
  • Guard your badge. Lost or stolen badges cost full price to replace.
  • Kids: Everyone 6 and older needs a ticket. Ages 6 to 12 use kids tickets, and 13 and up need adult tickets. Anyone under 16 must be with a parent or guardian, and proof of age may be requested.
  • Hotels: Official partner hotels with discounted rates went on sale May 6, 2026.

Cosplay and props

Celebration is a costume crowd, and the FAQ spells out the rules:

  • Allowed: Plastic or metal shields, lightweight plastic props, toy guns with orange tips, and foam-tipped arrows.
  • Not allowed: Functional firearms, realistic replicas, sharpened weapons, explosives, chemical weapons, hard props, drones, selfie sticks, and anything that makes excessive noise.

Security

Wear your badge at all times. Bag checks may happen, and the event uses walkthrough and handheld scanners, CCTV, and both uniformed and undercover security. Build in extra time at the doors.

Getting there

The convention center asks drivers to park in the West Hall or South Hall garages. Transit and shuttle details for Celebration had not been posted as of this writing.

Accessibility

Medical assistance stickers for attendees with mobility or sensory needs are available at the ADA desk. For specific accommodation questions, the FAQ asks attendees to contact the organizers.

A little history

Lucasfilm announced the Los Angeles edition in 2025 and tied it to the 50th anniversary of the original film. The key art, released with tickets on May 6, 2026, puts Luke, Leia, R2-D2, and C-3PO in front of Los Angeles landmarks, including a twist on the Hollywood sign, as an homage to Tom Jung’s original poster. We covered the announcement and the sellout in our Star Wars Celebration 2027 story, and the rest of next year’s shows are on our 2027 Southern California convention calendar.

Still to come

Daily hours, the panel schedule, guest appearance days, autograph and photo op pricing, more guest announcements, and transit details had not been posted as of this writing. The 824 Journal will update this guide when they are.
