Season’s Screamings, the holiday horror show from the team behind Midsummer Scream, is coming back. The winter convention returns Saturday, December 4 and Sunday, December 5, 2027, at the Long Beach Convention Center, the same building Midsummer Scream is leaving for Anaheim next summer.
It is a smaller, two-day mix of spooky shopping, holiday-themed entertainment, and haunted walkthroughs for people who like their tinsel a little creepy. Tickets go on sale in early 2027, alongside Midsummer Scream. Here is what is known as of September 28, 2026.

What to expect
Coverage of the 2027 announcement describes a show floor of spooky vendors, holiday-themed entertainment and Christmas-focused programming, and a haunted hall: Haunted Attraction Network calls it the Hall of Yuletide Spirits, and That Hollywood Show describes holiday mazes in the style of Midsummer Scream’s Hall of Shadows. The full 2027 program has not been announced.
Why it matters
- Long Beach keeps a show. With Midsummer Scream moving to Anaheim for August 2027, Season’s Screamings keeps the organization’s presence in Long Beach.
- It sells alongside the big one. Tickets for both events go on sale in early 2027, and Midsummer Scream has sold out four years running, so watch the official channels.
A little history
Season’s Screamings ran in 2021 and 2022 as a smaller holiday horror event while conventions were coming back after the pandemic, according to That Hollywood Show, and Haunted Attraction Network notes it was previously held at the Pasadena Convention Center. The 2027 edition brings it to Long Beach. For the summer show, see our 2027 Southern California convention calendar.
Still to come
Ticket prices and the on-sale date, hours, guests, vendors, the haunted hall lineup, and policies for costumes, parking, and accessibility had not been announced as of this writing. The 824 Journal will update this guide when they are.
