Rancho Los Alamitos Hosts Barnyard Afternoon With a Petting Zoo and Día de los Muertos Crafts on October 18

Rancho Los Alamitos in Long Beach holds Barnyard Afternoon on Sunday, October 18, 2026, noon to 4:15 p.m. The historic ranch is at 6400 E. Bixby Hill Road.

The Rancho describes the afternoon as a family program that mixes history, animals and hands-on activities.

Rancho Los Alamitos Barnyard Afternoon for families

A general admission ticket covers the petting zoo, face painting, music and games. Kids can also make Día de los Muertos crafts, including sugar skull kits from Kalaveritas Y Mas.

Tickets and parking

Admission is $10 per person, and children 2 and younger are free. A ticket is required, and the Rancho says it will be open only to guests with a reservation.

Parking in the Rancho’s lot costs $10 and also needs to be reserved in advance. Rancho members get 20 percent off up to four tickets with a code listed on the public programs page.
