The wait is officially over! Weezy is back on the road. Lil Wayne has officially kicked off his highly anticipated “20 Years of Carter Classics” tour, teaming up with Live Nation to bring his legendary catalog to arenas across North America.
Fans are already scrambling for tickets on the Live Nation platform. After a minor health hiccup forced a quick shift to the schedule, pushing the official start to July 2 in Saratoga Springs and rescheduling the original Bangor opening night for later this month, the rap icon is fully back on stage, making this live run easily one of the biggest music events of the year.
The tour celebrates over two decades of legendary music, and he is bringing massive guest stars like 2 Chainz and The Game along for the ride on select dates. It ain’t one to miss.
Get Your Tour Tickets at Live Nation
Due to the massive demand and the fact that the tour is actively underway, arenas are selling out fast. You can grab your seats directly through the official promoter at Live Nation.
Be there or be square.
The Carter Impact
Lil Wayne has spent decades at the absolute top of the rap world. He signed with Cash Money Records when he was just a kid in New Orleans, and his unique voice, relentless work ethic, and clever punchlines changed the genre forever.
His biggest breakthroughs came with Tha Carter album series, massive projects that cemented his place as a true rap god, often the center of the GOAT debate. He now has six Carter albums under his belt, including his latest release, Tha Carter VI.
Even with all those incredible projects, Tha Carter III hits different for most fans, especially for me. That classic 2008 record redefined modern hip-hop, and hearing those tracks live on this tour will have many of us reliving the aughts.
What Will Weezy Play?
Now that the opening shows are officially in the books, expect a career-defining tracklist heavily leaning into his most iconic eras:
- “Welcome to Tha Carter”
- “Fireman”
- “Go DJ”
- “Mr. Carter”
- “Hustler Musik”
- “6 Foot 7 Foot”
- “Mrs. Officer”
- “Lollipop”
- “A Milli”
Which one of those tracks was the theme song of your youth?
