KidWorks, the Santa Ana nonprofit, is hosting a free Trunk-or-Treat on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at its Dan Donahue Center, 1902 W. Chestnut Avenue.
The organization’s event page describes it as a free community event with trick-or-treating, games, music and food. Costumes are encouraged.
For families
A trunk-or-treat gives younger kids a compact, walkable alternative to going door to door, with candy handed out from decorated car trunks. The two-hour window starts early enough for an early bedtime.
The page does not mention advance registration for attendees. KidWorks is also looking for people to host a trunk or donate candy; its event page lists a staff contact for both.
Earlier that afternoon, the City of Santa Ana holds its free Harvest Festival at the El Salvador Park Community Garden from 4 to 6 p.m.
