The City of Irvine holds Illuminate Irvine, its holiday tree lighting, on Saturday, December 5, 3 to 8 p.m., at the Great Park.
The evening includes winter-themed activities, holiday shopping and live performances of seasonal classics. The main moment is the lighting of the Holiday Tree and the Palm Court Arts Complex.
After the lighting
The outdoor light display at the Palm Court stays up after the event. The city says it is open daily, dusk to 9 p.m., starting December 5, and includes a photo spot in Santa’s sleigh.
The city also offers holiday classes for families during the season. Registration is through yourirvine.org, and class fees vary by program.
Cost
The city has not posted 2026 admission or parking details yet. The 2025 Illuminate Irvine had free admission and free parking. Check the city’s Holidayz at the Park page before you go.
