BALLSTON LAKE, NY. October 10, 2026 marks the return of literature’s reluctant paranormal investigator in The Curse of Castle Dracula and Professor Spectre, the fourth installment of the Professor Spectre supernatural thriller series.
In this latest chapter, Dalton Peck, a man whose life was irrevocably changed by his exposure to the supernatural, is drawn out of his self-imposed isolation. When old friend Alex Hargraves asks him to assist with the renovation of a historic carnival dark ride called Castle Dracula, Dalton excitedly agrees. What begins as a creative restoration project quickly spirals into a living nightmare.
During the renovation, Dalton and Alex uncover a horrific, true crime history buried within the twists and turns of the ride. As Castle Dracula’s dark past is unearthed, history begins to repeat itself. A series of sudden, mysterious deaths plague the installation, casting a shadow of suspicion over the project and putting Dalton directly under the scrutiny of law enforcement. With the sheriff closing in and a malevolent force awakened, Dalton’s alter ego Professor Spectre must race against the clock to stop the bloodshed and break the curse before he and Alex become its next victims.
A contemporary horror series, the Professor Spectre novels are all set in upstate New York.
