UC Irvine’s School of Social Ecology holds its fourth annual Día de los Muertos celebration on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, 4242 Campus Drive. Admission is free, with an optional RSVP on the event page.
For families
The school lists free entertainment, food, crafts and face painting for the evening. November 2 is the traditional day for honoring loved ones who have died, and the celebration falls on that date this year.

The event includes a community digital altar. To take part, email a photo and a dedication of up to 100 words to secomm@uci.edu.
