Safety and conduct

Attendees agree to the Twitch Events Code of Conduct, and Twitch says violators can be removed and banned from future events. For last year’s San Diego show, Twitch said every entrance had screening, prohibited items were listed in the FAQ, and attendees should expect uniformed law enforcement and plainclothes security throughout the venue, in partnership with the San Diego Police Department.

Accessibility

TwitchCon takes requests for accessibility credentials through an online form linked from the event site. It is worth filling out well before the show.

A little history

The first TwitchCon took place in 2015 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, with every panel livestreamed on Twitch. San Diego has been a regular home since, hosting in 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2024, and again in 2025 for the convention’s 10th anniversary. Twitch Interactive organizes the show. Other fall fan events are in our fall 2026 Southern California convention guide, including San Diego Anime Con, which runs the same weekend in Mission Valley.

Still to come

The full schedule, creator lineup, party performers, the text of the 2026 FAQ (bag rules, prohibited items, cosplay guidelines, minors), and parking and shuttle details had not been published in a form we could read as of this writing. The 824 Journal will update this guide when they are.
