What’s in the glass

  • Wine
  • Craft beer
  • Spirits
  • Non-alcoholic drinks, handy for designated drivers
  • Food from regional producers

The museum pitches this as a chance to meet the makers and hear the stories, science, and traditions behind each pour. Fitting, for a festival held at a natural history museum. The participating producers have not been named yet.

Is Early Entry worth $40 more?

Early Entry adds one hour to a three-hour event, so you get four hours instead of three. That is a third more tasting time, and you are in before the General Admission crowd arrives. If you plan to stay the whole afternoon and want shorter lines, it is the better buy. If you are dropping in for an hour or two, General Admission covers it.

Good to know

  • 21 and over only.
  • Rain or shine. It is an outdoor event, so dress for an early November afternoon outside.
  • Parking: the museum keeps a separate Locations & Parking page. Check it before you go.
  • Sponsors include Leslie Thomas, Mission Wealth, Flowers & Associates, Canterbury Consulting, Hub International, Schipper Construction, and Edible Santa Barbara.
