The City of Long Beach will hold Monster Mash, a free Halloween festival, on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Lincoln Park, 101 Pacific Ave. in downtown Long Beach. It runs 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine is hosting the festival with the Long Beach Public Library.
What’s planned
The city lists carnival games, balloon animals, a cake walk and themed arts and crafts, including a popsicle scarecrow decorating station. Kids in family-friendly costumes can show them off in a costume parade.
A trick-or-treat hunt runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside the Billie Jean King Main Library next door at 200 W. Broadway.
Passports and prizes
Families check in on arrival to get a bracelet and a Monster Mash passport. Kids mark off activities as they finish them, then drop the drawing tickets they earn into the prize basket they want.
Parking
Free parking is available in the Civic Center Parking Garage at 332 W. Broadway during the event. For questions, call the city at 562.570.3524.
