Bath & Body Works opened its first store in September 1990 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2025. The company, based in Columbus, Ohio, became an independent public company in 2021, when L Brands spun off Victoria’s Secret and renamed itself Bath & Body Works, Inc. Daniel Heaf became CEO in May 2025.

The scents

Japanese Cherry Blossom, Warm Vanilla Sugar and Champagne Toast are among its signature fragrances, along with its fine fragrance mists and three-wick candles.

A big 2026

The brand launched on Amazon in the U.S. in February 2026. On July 12, it arrived at Ulta Beauty in more than 600 stores and online, bringing back Juniper Breeze as an Ulta exclusive. That same month it introduced Fruit Fusion, with Hilary Duff as campaign ambassador and creative partner, in Watermelon Whirl, Tangerine Twirl, Berry Bliss and Banana Blend.

Where to find it

Bath & Body Works operated about 1,927 stores in the U.S. and Canada as of January 2026, plus 573 international partner stores. It also sells at bathandbodyworks.com, on Amazon and at Ulta Beauty.
