On Sept. 27, 2026, Sienna Spiro won Best New Artist at the MTV VMAs at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and performed “Great Expectation” on the show. In the UK, her single “Great Expectation” had already spent three weeks at No. 1, and Official Charts noted she was the youngest British female artist to top the singles chart since 2014.
She is the most established name on this list. She is here because in the United States her first headline run is only now arriving.
Background
Spiro is 20 and from London. She built an audience posting cover videos, which NME dates to 2024, then opened for Sam Smith and appeared on The Tonight Show. She is signed to Capitol. “Die on This Hill,” released in October 2025, reached No. 9 in the UK and put her on the Official Charts Ones to Watch list for 2026 and the BRITs Critics’ Choice shortlist.
The sound
Her songs are retro soul, jazz and pop ballads built around a big voice. NME compares her to Adele and Amy Winehouse and names Nina Simone and Ella Fitzgerald as influences.
The records
Her debut album, Visitor, came out July 3, 2026, on Capitol and reached No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Along with “Great Expectation,” singles including “The Visitor,” “Material Lover” and “You Stole the Show” have all charted in the UK. The GRAMMY Museum reports she had three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 at once before the album was out.
Where to see her
Her North American tour runs through October and November. In Los Angeles she has a sold-out conversation and performance at the GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater on Sept. 30, then The Wiltern on Nov. 10 and The Orpheum Theatre on Nov. 12.
