The Venice West

Venue Profile

Los Angeles, CA · Indoor & Outdoor · Updated September 2026

The Venice West is a restaurant and listening room on Lincoln Boulevard in Venice, run by the team behind Redondo Beach’s BeachLife Festival. The project was planned for an early 2020 debut and opened about two years later after pandemic delays.

Its name nods to the Beat Generation scene that gathered in Venice in the late 1950s and early 1960s at spots such as the Venice West Cafe and the Gas House. The calendar covers touring and local bands, tribute acts, locals nights and themed events such as trivia and line dancing, with shows sold through Tixr.

The kitchen serves dinner and a full bar, and tables can be reserved through OpenTable. Evening shows are 21 and over unless otherwise stated, while weekend brunch is open to all ages with no cover. The venue is closed Mondays.
