The Mint
The Mint is a small club on Pico Boulevard in Mid-City, south of the Miracle Mile. It opened in 1937 and calls itself a local landmark.
The club lists Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Natalie Cole among past performers, and more recent performers include Ben Harper and Macy Gray. The room has had acoustic treatment for live sound, and bookings cover blues, soul, R&B, jazz, rock and songwriters, with a regular Jazz Sunday series.
The Mint has general admission standing room, with table and booth seating sold as upgrades on some shows. It serves a dinner and drinks menu, and dinner reservations can be requested ahead of shows. Tickets are sold through DICE, and valet parking is available in front of the club.
