The Dresden
The Dresden is a family-owned restaurant and lounge on North Vermont Avenue in Los Feliz, a few blocks north of the Vermont/Sunset Metro station. It has operated since 1954 and has two rooms: a white-tablecloth dining room and a lounge with a bar and small stage.
Live music runs in the lounge Wednesday through Sunday, with no cover charge. Recent weekly bookings include a Wednesday jazz jam, jazz on Thursdays and Saturdays, alternating funk and swing nights on Fridays, and rotating small groups on Sundays. Performers may vary with availability.
Lounge and patio seating is first come, first served, and the dining room takes reservations through Resy. The kitchen serves a menu that has run for more than 70 years alongside bar food in the lounge.
