The Cinema Bar
The Cinema Bar is a small neighborhood bar on Sepulveda Boulevard in Culver City that bills itself as the oldest bar in town. It says it has been pouring for close to 75 years and has been in the same family for about three decades.
Local bands and songwriters play most nights on a tiny corner stage, and the bar says it has never charged a cover. The room is decorated with wood paneling, stickers and vintage beer signs, and there is a patio out back.
The bar is 21 and over and open daily from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m., with drink specials in the afternoon. It does not serve food, but guests may bring takeout from nearby restaurants. Street parking opens up after 6 p.m.
