Venue Profile

Los Angeles, CA · Indoor & Outdoor · Updated September 2026

The Skirball Cultural Center is a Jewish cultural institution in the Sepulveda Pass, between Brentwood and the San Fernando Valley. It opened in 1996 on a campus designed by architect Moshe Safdie, with courtyards and gardens facing the Santa Monica Mountains.

Its main music program is Sunset Concerts, a free outdoor series held on summer Thursday evenings in the hillside courtyard. The 2026 edition, the series’ 29th season, ran from July 16 to August 6 with a jazz theme and included Cory Henry and the Funk Apostles, Terrace Martin and Tortoise. The center also hosts music and theatre indoors during the year.

Sunset Concerts admission is walk-up only and first come, first served. Doors open at 6 p.m. with sets at 7 and 8:15 p.m. Parking is on site, with a fee on performance nights.
