Segerstrom Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Venue Profile

Costa Mesa, CA · 2994 capacity · Indoor · Updated September 2026

Segerstrom Hall is the largest room at Segerstrom Center for the Arts, the performing arts campus on Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, a short walk east of South Coast Plaza. The opera house style theater seats 2,994 and opened in September 1986, making it the original anchor of the campus.

The hall was designed by architect Charles Lawrence and is used mainly for large productions, including touring Broadway musicals and ballet, along with concerts and special events that need a big stage and a full proscenium. The center describes itself as marking 40 years of programming in Orange County in 2026.

For a first visit, plan to park in the Center Tower Parking Structure beside the hall; parking is $15, and accessible spaces are on every level. Security may inspect anything larger than a small clutch, so leaving large bags in the car saves time at the door. Every guest needs a ticket regardless of age.
