REDCAT

Venue Profile

Los Angeles, CA · Indoor · Updated September 2026

REDCAT, the Roy and Edna Disney/CalArts Theater, is a contemporary arts center inside the Walt Disney Concert Hall complex, with its entrance at 631 West Second Street in Downtown Los Angeles. CalArts runs it, and it has presented new work since 2003.

The black box theater changes configuration with each production, so seating depends on the event. Music programming leans toward experimental and new music and improvised jazz, including series such as Angel City Arts’ Jazz Refractions, alongside dance, theater and film. The annual NOW festival of new work is scheduled for November 2026.

The box office line is (213) 237-2800. Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill station on the A and E lines is a short walk up the hill, and the Disney Hall garage is the closest structure for drivers.
