Programme Skate & Sound

Venue Profile

Fullerton, CA · 100 capacity · Indoor · Updated September 2026

Programme Skate & Sound is a skateboard shop and record store in a strip mall on East Chapman Avenue in Fullerton that doubles as an all-ages music venue. It was started in 2011 by Chris Gronowski and Efrem Schulz, the singer of Death By Stereo, who wanted a place where younger fans and local bands could put on shows without pay-to-play deals or age limits.

Shows happen among the racks of decks, shoes and vinyl, in a room that holds roughly 100 people. The booking leans toward punk, hardcore, emo and indie, with hip-hop in the mix, and touring bands such as Turnstile, Bane, Fiddlehead, Drug Church and Spiritual Cramp have played here alongside local acts. Bands are encouraged to run their own shows and keep most of the door.

There is no bar, so shows are open to all ages. The space is small and crowds can be energetic, and regulars are expected to respect the merchandise and the room.
