Peacock Theater
The Peacock Theater is a 7,100-seat theater at L.A. Live in Downtown Los Angeles, owned by AEG and run by AEG Presents. It opened in 2007 as the Nokia Theatre, became the Microsoft Theater in 2015, and took its current name in 2023.
Its stage is among the largest indoor stages in the United States, which is one reason television productions use it. The Primetime Emmy Awards have been held here since 2008, the BET Awards and The Game Awards return regularly, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has held inductions here. The Academy Awards are scheduled to move to the theater in 2029.
Between broadcasts the calendar is mostly headlining concerts and comedy. All seating is reserved, and children age 3 and older need a ticket for most events. Pico station on the A and E lines is within walking distance, and bags must be 14 by 14 by 6 inches or smaller.
