Mother’s Tavern

Mother’s Tavern is a vintage honky tonk and motorcycle bar on Pacific Coast Highway in Sunset Beach, the coastal strip now part of Huntington Beach. It is a no frills beer bar that opens only Friday through Sunday.

Live bands play each of those days, mostly rock and reggae. The bar posts its current music lineup on its Facebook page rather than on its website.

Hours are Friday from 2 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The bar also books private parties by email. It sits on Pacific Coast Highway a short drive northwest of downtown Huntington Beach.
