Marine Room Tavern
The Marine Room Tavern is a bar on Ocean Avenue in downtown Laguna Beach that opened in 1934. It is often described as the oldest bar in Laguna Beach, holds one of the oldest liquor licenses in Orange County, and has had only three owners in more than 90 years.
Local bands play in the long, narrow room, and the weekly schedule has included a Sunday jazz night and a Tuesday country night, with a vinyl night on Mondays. The bar also has pool tables and a whiskey list of close to 300 bottles.
It operates as a bar under a license that does not admit minors, so plan on 21 and over. Hours run into the early morning, 2 a.m. daily, and the room is a short walk from Main Beach.
