Harvelle’s Santa Monica

Venue Profile

Santa Monica, CA · Indoor · Updated September 2026

Harvelle’s is a small blues club on 4th Street in downtown Santa Monica, one block from the Third Street Promenade and a short walk from the Downtown Santa Monica E Line station. The club dates its founding to 1931 and calls itself the oldest live music venue on the Westside.

The calendar runs every night the club has entertainment, typically from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Bookings center on blues, R&B, soul and funk bands, with recurring nights such as the Toledo Show revue, an open all-star jam, and live band karaoke. A sister club operates in downtown Long Beach.

Admission is limited to guests 21 and over. Food and a full bar are available, and table reservations can be arranged after buying tickets online. There is no dedicated lot; the club points visitors to nearby city parking structures, which it does not validate.
