Grand Performances at California Plaza
Grand Performances is a nonprofit that has presented free outdoor performances at California Plaza, 350 South Grand Avenue on Bunker Hill, since 1986. Concerts take place at the plaza’s watercourt stage among the office towers of Downtown Los Angeles.
The summer series books music from many traditions, with past performers including Stevie Wonder, Ozomatli and Angelique Kidjo. The 2026 season ran from June into September and marked the organization’s 40th year, with Ozomatli returning for the anniversary show, a Roy Ayers tribute, KCRW Summer Nights and a Ritchie Valens program.
Most events are free with an RSVP, and seating is informal, so arriving early helps on popular nights. Grand Av Arts/Bunker Hill station on the A and E lines is the closest rail stop, and Angels Flight connects the plaza with Hill Street.
