El Cid
El Cid is a Spanish restaurant and performance space at 4212 West Sunset Boulevard in Silver Lake. The building dates to 1905 and is linked to filmmaker D.W. Griffith. In the 1950s it operated as the Cabaret Concert Theatre, and it became a Spanish restaurant and entertainment venue in 1961.
Flamenco remains its signature, with dinner shows featuring dancers, singers and guitarists that are reserved through Tock. Other nights bring live bands, DJs, comedy, burlesque and film screenings. The venue took part in the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in 2026, and its fall calendar includes touring acts and recurring weekly parties.
The historic building has a patio, and the room keeps the look of an old Spanish tavern. Ages depend on the event. Street parking along Sunset and the side streets is the main option.
