Crypto.com Arena

Venue Profile

Los Angeles, CA · 20000 capacity · Indoor · Updated September 2026

Crypto.com Arena sits at 1111 South Figueroa Street in the South Park district of Downtown Los Angeles, next to the L.A. Live complex. Owned and operated by AEG, it opened on October 17, 1999, as Staples Center, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band played its opening concert.

The arena is home to the Lakers, Kings and Sparks and has hosted the Grammy Awards more often than any other building since it opened. Taylor Swift holds the record for sold-out shows here, and the building also hosted the public memorial for Michael Jackson in 2009. For concerts it holds about 20,000 people.

Arena tours in pop, rock, hip-hop, country and Latin music fill most of its concert calendar. The Pico station on the A and E lines is a short walk away, which helps on busy nights around L.A. Live. Check the bag rules before leaving home, since only small clutches pass without screening.
