Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts
The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is a city-owned theater in the Cerritos Towne Center area. It opened on January 9, 1993, with a sold-out Frank Sinatra performance. Barton Myers Associates designed the building.
The hall was inspired by the Derngate in Northampton, England. Movable seating towers, floors and ceilings let it change shape for different events. The drama layout seats about 921, the in-the-round layout about 1,934, and the standard capacity is 1,721.
The concert calendar leans toward established touring acts and tribute shows. September 2026 dates included Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’, The Fabulous Thunderbirds with Ruthie Foster, and 1964 The Tribute. Parking next to the center is free.
