The Historical Society of Long Beach holds its 30th annual Historical Cemetery Tour on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tour takes place at Sunnyside and Municipal Cemeteries, 1095 E. Willow Street in Long Beach.

The society lists the tour as free and as an all-ages event.

How the tour works

Visitors walk the grounds at their own pace. Community theater actors in period costume give first-person performances at the gravesites of people buried in the two cemeteries. Each performance runs about 10 minutes and repeats every 20 minutes from 9 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. The society recommends arriving before noon.

Also on site

The day includes Japanese American history displays, a Día de los Muertos installation, talks by historians, book signings by local authors, and displays on Long Beach history.
